Creative Halloween Ideas for Toddlers Halloween Party
You may be wondering how to make Halloween at home for toddlers fun, especially without all the Halloween spooky parts.
Here are the best Halloween activities for little ones to celebrate Halloween!
#1 – Have a Stuffed Animal Trick-or-Treat Trail
If going nighttime trick or treating is too much for your toddler (or, you just don’t feel safe taking candy from strangers any more), do your own stuffie trick or treat trail!
All you need is to gather up your child’s stuffed animals (or hit up the thrift stores) and place them around the backyard, on the balcony, or around the house or classroom.
Then, place specific treats with each animal.
The toddler then “tricks or treats” at each animal and gets to pick a prize or treat from that animal’s bowl or pumpkin basket.
This makes a great Halloween classroom idea or daycare Halloween party, fun with friends on Halloween, or just a cute Halloween idea at home with family.
#2 – Host Halloween Hopscotch
Make a hop scotch trick or treat trail and the pavement and help your toddlers follow the directions on each spot of fun things like jump like a werewolf, fly like a witch, smile like a pumpkin, etc.
We did this one year for Halloween on our sidewalk and in our driveway and kids came back multiple times to do the Halloween hopscotch game.
It was a huge hit!

#3 – Have a Toddler Halloween Costume Parade
A really cute idea is to coordinate with a local nursing home to have the toddlers to do a costume parade for the residents.
Then, stay after and do some Halloween crafts with residents, too.
It will make the day of the residents and the little ones will have a ton of fun, too!
If you don’t want to coordinate a meet-up, have a neighborhood costume parade with little ones during daylight hours before crazy trick-or-treating in the dark starts or even just a fun teddy bear parade for your stuffed animals at home.
#4 – HALLOWEEN MOVIE PARTY MATINEE: Watch & Party with It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
