The Christmas Wrap A Tree game is an easy DIY party game for kids Christmas party, classroom holiday party games, fun youth group games, or even funny things to do on Christmas Eve for a family game idea!
How To Play The Christmas Wrap A Tree Game
If you’ve ever played the Wrap a Mummy Game for Halloween (aka: the toilet paper roll game), this is that same type of easy party game. You may even have the game supplies at home already!
In case you’ve never heard of it, you’re basically making a human Christmas tree. This works as a Christmas tree wrap game for adults and kids games or fun Christmas Minute To Win It Games!
What is the tree wrap game?
The Christmas tree game (aka: “Oh Christmas Tree” Game) is a Christmas relay race where each team races to wrap and decorate their Christmas tree the quickest before the other team.
Teams race to wrap each other in Christmas crepe paper like a Christmas tree to see which team wins!
Some people also play the Christmas tree wrap game where once the Christmas tree is wrapped and decorated, then the person wrapped as a the tree has to do things while wrapped — like having the Christmas tree people do an obstacle course.
Definitely add this to your Christmas party games list!
It’s a hysterical game to play (and watch!). This is even a fun teen Christmas game or for office party holiday activities.
Decorate A Tree Game Instructions
Game Overview
Be the first team to decorate a person (as the Christmas trees) with all of the items in the Christmas decorations box.
Christmas Tree Game Supplies
To play the Christmas Wrap Tree Game, you’ll need:
- 3-5 rolls of green crepe paper streamers (per team) – you’ll need less if you’re playing with kids vs adults
- Christmas tinsel garland
- Rudolph Noses
- Christmas headbands like this (for the tree topper)
- Christmas “decorations” like Christmas star stick ons and Christmas ornament stickers
- Blindfolds (optional – see alternate game play rules below)
Assemble one box of “decorations” per team. Each team must decorate their tree person using all the items in their Christmas decoration box.
You can also put tape in there, but I think it’s more fun for people to try to get everything to stay without the tape.
PRO PARTY TIP: If you want to make it more challenging, wrap the Christmas decorations box so that players have to unwrap it before getting to the game supplies.
